The German company “Siemens Energy” sent Gazprom an export license issued by Canada, which allows the repair, maintenance and transportation of turbines for the “Portova” compression station of the “Severniy Potik” gas pipeline. The Russian newspaper “Kommersant” reports this with reference to sources,

Details
According to the publication, Gazprom asked Siemens three times to provide this document, which confirms the removal of Gazprom’s equipment from Canada’s sanctions regime, stressing that it has not yet had any documentary confirmation of the lifting of sanctions. On July 23, the turbine for Nord Stream was supposed to go by ferry from Lübeck, Germany, to Helsinki, and from there by land to the Russian Federation, but due to the lack of necessary documents from Gazprom, this could not be done. Now it will be possible to do this in the middle of next week, if Gazprom sends the necessary documents for customs control, the publication writes.
At the same time, the interlocutors of the newspaper are not sure that the sending of the turbine will contribute to the increase of pumping by the Nord Stream, since the repair requires several more machines at the Portova station. Theoretically, they can be sent for repair at any time, but Gazprom has not yet given permission for this. According to information, the repair of one car takes about three months.
A license issued by Siemens Energy reportedly allows five more machines to be shipped to Canada by the end of 2024. In total, nine gas pumping units (consisting of a turbine and a compressor) operate at the “Portova” compressor station. Of them, six Siemens SGT-A65 gas turbines (made on the basis of Rolls-Royce aircraft engines) and three more less powerful SGT-A35 turbines. It follows from Gazprom’s current statements that only three A65 turbines are currently operational at Portova.
Addition
Germany and EU countries must remain ready in case Russia decides to shut off the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline, German Vice Chancellor and Energy Minister Robert Habeck said, just hours after gas began flowing again at around 40 % of the maximum throughput of the pipeline.
The supply through the Northern Stream gas pipeline was stopped for ten days from July 11 to 21.
The turbine of the Nord Stream-1 gas pipeline cannot be a reason to refuse to resume gas supplies from the Russian Federation to Europe, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen , pointed out Source: Ukrgate
