“According to the results of the open voting, for the best coin of 2021 in all three nominations – “Best disclosure of the topic”, “Best artistic solution”, “Most popular coin” – the commemorative silver silver coin with a denomination of 5 hryvnias – “To the 30th anniversary of independence” won of Ukraine,” the message reads.
The coin is dedicated to the adoption of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine on August 24, 1991.
“The composition on the coin depicts Ukraine: endless picturesque fields in the form of stylized ornaments over which storks fly, and an image of a colored embroidered ribbon symbolizing the nation’s code and reminiscent of DNA,” the NBU noted.
The author of the sketch was the Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak. The sculptor is Volodymyr Atamanchuk. Software modeling was carried out by Vitaly Andriyanov.
