The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree on the appointment of Andrii Kostin as Prosecutor General, after approval by the Verkhovna Rada. This is stated in presidential decree No. 538 of July 28 .

On July 27, the Verkhovna Rada, at the request of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, supported the resolution on granting consent to the appointment of Andrii Kostin to the position of Prosecutor General.
299 People’s Deputies of Ukraine voted for the relevant decision.
Addition
In 2019, Andriy Kostin was elected a People’s Deputy of Ukraine from “Servant of the People”, held the position of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy. As the head of the legal policy committee, Andriy Kostin was responsible for judicial reform in the parliament.
