Von der Leyen also added that “racial discrimination means trampling on these values. The European Union is built on equality, tolerance, justice and fair play.”
Context
Hungary’s far-right Prime Minister Viktor Orbán caused outrage by criticizing the “mixing” of Europeans and non-Europeans.
“We (Hungarians) are not a mixed race… and we don’t want to become a mixed race,” Viktor Orbán said.
