Kirby reacted to the article by the American journalist Thomas Friedman in The New York Times, where he writes about the alleged “deep distrust” between the White House and Zelensky. According to him, Biden has expressed many times “his admiration for the leadership and courage of President Zelenskyi and the entire Ukrainian people in this time of war.”
