In 2022, universities from ten cities of Ukraine made it to the top twenty.

“The information and educational resource “Osvita.ua” compiled a consolidated ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2022. The top twenty are the universities of Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Kropyvnytskyi and Dnipro,” the message reads.

Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University is in first place for the sixth year in a row.
The second place is occupied by the National Technical University “Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
In third place is Lviv National University named after Franko.
The list of the best agricultural universities was headed by the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management.
The best pedagogical institution in the rating is Drohobytsk State Pedagogical University named after Franko.
Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytsky was recognized as the best medical institution of education in Ukraine.
Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts became the best art institution in Ukraine.
The best educational institution in the western region was recognized as the Franko Lviv National University, in the south – Mechnikov Odesa National University, in the north – Sumy State University, in the east – Karazin Kharkiv National University, in the central region – Stus Donetsk National University, which currently works in Vinnytsia.
The rating was formed on the basis of the national ratings of educational institutions of Ukraine: “Top-200 Ukraine”, Scopus and “Bal ZNO per contract”, each of which uses different evaluation criteria for higher education institutions.
