Successful certification must be credited as certification by a teacher. This is stated in the relevant letter of explanation of the Ministry of Education and Science.
According to the Law “On complete general secondary education”, successful certification is counted as passing the attestation by a pedagogical worker, and is also the basis for assigning him the appropriate qualification category and / or pedagogical title.
At the same time, according to the above-mentioned Law, the head of the school is obliged to facilitate the passing of attestation and certification by teachers.
We emphasize that the successful completion of certification by a primary school teacher, confirmed by the relevant certificate, is a sufficient basis for the attestation commission to decide on assigning him the next qualification category or next pedagogical title and / or confirmation of the existing higher qualification category or existing pedagogical title. This process does not require the provision of any additional documents or any activities related to the study of the teacher.
902 teachers successfully passed the pilot voluntary certification of primary school teachers in 2020 . 2,000 teachers will be able to take part in the 2021 certification , registration will begin on January 18.
Certification is an external assessment of teachers’ professional competencies. The purpose of certification is to identify and encourage high-skilled teachers who have competency-based teaching methods and new educational technologies and promote them.
Successful certification allows you to receive a 20% salary increase and can be counted as passing the regular (extraordinary) certification. The certificate is valid for three years. It is assumed that in the future, with the development of the reform “New Ukrainian School”, certification will replace the certification of teachers.
