Unidentified aircraft, believed to be drones, reportedly flew over the Jinmen Islands on Wednesday, August 3, hours after Pelosi left for South Korea. “We immediately fired flares to warn and drive them away. After that, they turned around. They entered our restricted zone, so we dispersed them,” he said.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense also said the agency’s official website had been cyberattacked and was temporarily down, adding that it was working closely with other authorities to strengthen cyber security amid rising tensions with China.
