Fire in Cuba at an oil storage base

A massive oil fire has been raging for a second day near the Cuban supertanker port in Matanzas, Cuba. According to the authorities, 121 people were injured.

Lightning struck one of eight storage tanks at the oil storage facility on Friday night. The heat from the flames reached the second tank on Saturday, and the wind carried the fire close to the third.
Cuban authorities reported that at least 121 people were injured in the second explosion, of whom 36 remain in hospital, five in critical condition. One person is considered dead, and 17 firefighters are missing. More than 1,000 civilians were evacuated from the area.
Mexico and Venezuela have sent teams to fight the fire, while the US has provided unspecified “technical advice”.
