On August 8, the Kalush Orchestra recorded an appeal to the Sea Dance festival in Montenegro to cancel the performance of a Russian DJ. Organizers refused, so the musicians announced on their Instagram that they had decided not to participate in the event.

“We will not perform with a pro-Putin Russian artist on the same stage. At the request of the band, the organizers refused to cancel the performance of Nina Kravitz. Therefore, as we promise, we cancel our performance there,” frontman Oleh Psyuk commented on the band’s decision.
The musician also added that the band has no “desire to perform on the same stage” with Nina Kravits, so the band urges not to buy tickets to the festival in Montenegro for everyone who wanted to get to the performance of kalush orchestra.
