During a meeting at a conference in Copenhagen, the Swedish Defense Minister “does not rule out” the production of weapons for Ukraine.

On Thursday, defence ministers from 17 countries met in Copenhagen during a donor conference for Ukraine. One of the participating countries was Sweden.
At the meeting, three main areas of long-term support were identified. We are talking about military training, demining and the production of weapons. Last week, the government announced that Sweden would provide 120 instructors to train the Ukrainian military. The Minister of Defense of the Scandinavian country suggested that his country could produce weapons for Ukraine.

“I don’t rule it out, but it’s too early to say. We are positively involved in all three dimensions, but in the end we see how we bring it all together,” swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist said.
According to him, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic have already announced that they can help with the production of weapons.
“It’s about using production lines in different countries to produce weapons that can be directly supplied to Ukraine,” says Peter Hultqvist.
