“None of the people we interviewed for additional evidence, in addition to what the researchers saw directly, were not in Russian prisons or ‘filtration camps’, or in Russian-controlled areas to which Amnesty International has no access,” Amnesty International said in an official statement.
The organization added that the researchers interviewed all witnesses in the territories controlled by Ukraine. All testimonies were given voluntarily and in safe conditions.
In addition, the investigation, published on August 4, “was conducted by the same amnesty international experts who, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, have systematically documented Russia’s violations of international humanitarian law.”
Recall
Amnesty International, a NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, said in its report that the Ukrainian military was endangering civilians by setting up bases and deploying weapons in residential areas, including schools and hospitals, in an attempt to repel the Russian invasion.
The Times published an article in which they studied the Amnesty International report and concluded that it was Putin’s propaganda.
