The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by its resolution, amended the procedure for state registration of wills and inheritance agreements in the Hereditary Register. Thus, military commanders will be able to certify their wills under martial law. This was reported by the press service of the government .

“The resolution provides that under martial law to certify the wills of servicemen (…) not only notaries will be able to. Such a right was also granted to the commanders (chiefs) of these formations (bodies) and other persons authorized by such a commander (chief),” the message says.
Details
It is reported that after certification, the relevant authorized persons must send a will through the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, the relevant body to the Ministry of Justice or its territorial body for its registration by notaries in the Hereditary Register.
At the same time, the resolution establishes a period of 2 working days after the territorial body of the Ministry of Justice receives a will, during which the application for registration of such a document, certified by a person who, under martial law in accordance with the law, has the right to certify it, is transferred to the registrar. The latter, within 3 working days after receiving such a will for storage, carries out its state registration in the Hereditary Register.
