“This is the first stop (shelter – ed.). The city of Kharkiv is constantly shelled. We have had terrible cases where people died at bus stops while they were waiting for public transport. Then I promised that we would make such a stop that would be more or less safe. From a direct missile hit with heavy missiles probably will not save, and maybe partially save. But at least from the wreckage, from the MLRS, it will save people’s lives,” Terekhov said.

According to the mayor, the shelter can accommodate 30 people. He added that there is a direct connection with the dispatcher, Wi-Fi and a TV where people can watch when vehicles approach.
