Since the beginning of August, during the mandatory evacuation, more than 7 thousand civilians have left the Donetsk region. This was announced on the air of one of the TV channels by the head of the coordination headquarters for evacuation from the Donetsk region, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, UNN reports.

“From August 1 to the present day, more than 7 thousand people have used the free evacuation train Pokrovsk-Kropyvnytskyi. Among them are 45 large families, about 1.5 thousand children, as well as about 500 elderly people with limited mobility. We expect that there will be at least 200 thousand evacuees, and we are ready to help these people,” Vereshchuk said.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the evacuation continues in the occupied territories of other regions. Thus, over the past week, about 8 thousand people left the Kherson region, and almost 10 thousand people left Zaporizhia. In total, over the past 10 days, more than 20 thousand people were able to evacuate.
