Polish President Andrzej Duda said that it was necessary to liquidate the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. He said this during the summit of the Crimean Platform .

“I want to remind you that Nord Stream 2 began to operate after the seizure of Crimea, there is no turn to ordinary business with Russia, there is no turn to such ties when it fights against Ukraine, occupies its territories. The change in policy in the West is not just the termination of Nord Stream 2, but also its complete liquidation and dismantling,” Duda said.

The operator of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, designed to double Russian gas exports to Germany, on Tuesday won an appeal in the EU’s highest court after challenging European Union rules requiring individual companies to build, operate and own pipelines.
Nord Stream 2 AG is a Swiss subsidiary of Russian gas giant Gazprom, which completed the construction of a gas pipeline at the bottom of the Baltic Sea last year. However, it has yet to be opened after German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said it would not work, ahead of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russia is cutting gas supplies to Europe, and governments, markets and companies are in suspense over fears that Moscow could further limit gas supplies. Nord Stream 1, the largest pipeline that supplies Russian gas to Germany, was closed on Monday for annual maintenance, with pumping expected to stop for 10 days, but many fear the shutdown could be extended due to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
