As of August 19, more than 11 thousand educational institutions throughout Ukraine, that is, 47%, are provided with shelter. Accordingly, these schools will be able to start learning offline from September 1.

On September 1, 2022, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine plans to start the school year offline. One of the main requirements for educational institutions is the presence of protective structures.
More than 23.5 thousand objects of educational institutions have undergone a security audit as of August 19, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. Of these, more than 11 thousand are provided with shelter for participants in the educational process.

According to the recommendations of the State Emergency Service (SES), the shelter should be located in the main building of the educational institution or in close proximity (up to 100 meters). It must be provided with power supply, artificial lighting, water supply systems and sewerage.
In addition, one of the requirements is compliance with the rule of at least a meter per person. The shelter should also have seats (lying), containers with drinking water, food containers, first aid supplies and means of communication and warning (telephone, radio, Internet).
Context
Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet presented four models of education in schools during the war.
They are based on four possible locations of students. The educational process is recommended to be carried out in one of the following forms: full-time, distance form, family (home) form of education, mixed form of education and external studies.
