In the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, thousands of Ukrainians in embroidered shirts and with blue and yellow flags formed a living chain of unity. This was announced by Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Serbia Volodymyr Tolkach on his Facebook page.

“All Ukrainians, our friends, diplomats from fraternal countries marched from the presidential palace to the Republic Square in Belgrade. I was particularly pleased with the participation of the head of the EU office in Serbia, Emmanuel Jofre. On the Republic Square, we all, all of us, all those who were and supported us in these difficult times of the Russian invasion, organized a chain of unity,” the ambassador said in a statement.

In New York’s Central Park, Ukrainian citizens and local residents unfurled the “Flag of Courage”, which, according to them, is the world’s largest flag of Ukraine. Dozens of people carried smaller flags. Sofia Bedriy, who was in the park, said that Ukraine has always been independent and will be so in the future.
