In the near future, Ukrenergo repair crews will complete the restoration of another main line, which will increase the safety of Zaporizhzhya NPP. The press service of Ukrenergo informs about this in Telegram .

As noted, on August 25, Ukrenergo took all necessary measures to restore the main network that ensures the operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
In particular, the operation of two damaged main lines, which now reliably supply the Zaporizhia NPP’s own needs, was restored. Due to this, a stable energy supply and safe functioning of spent nuclear fuel storage facilities and other important facilities located on the ZNPP site are currently ensured.

“In the near future, the Ukrenergo repair crews will be able to complete the restoration of another main line, which will make it possible to increase the safety of the power plant. Currently, the energy system of Ukraine continues to work stably as part of the ENTSO-E power grid. The loss of power caused by the shutdown of the Zaporizhia NPP has been compensated and the power system is balanced,” – the message says.

As of 9:00 a.m. on August 26, all power units of the Zaporizhzhya NPP were disconnected from the power grid.
On August 25, the actions of the Russian invaders caused a complete disconnection of the Zaporizhzhya NPP from the power grid – for the first time in the plant’s history.
In the end, the ZNPP was reconnected to the power grid, and Ukraine reported this to the IAEA.
Lana Zerkal, adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, said that the IAEA mission should visit the Zaporizhzhia NPP captured by the occupiers next week.
