“For any negotiations, it is necessary that both sides want it. This is another public lie of the Russian authorities, they are not ready for negotiations, they do not want it. In their understanding, negotiations are an ultimatum in which we must recognize that Donbas and Crimea are Russian territories,” Zelenskyy said.

According to the President, the Russians in the public sphere are already talking about the fact that Ukraine should allegedly recognize the occupied regions of the south as Russian territories, as the so-called “referendums” will be held there.
“It’s just an alligator with a voracious sense of everything foreign. No matter how you talk to them, as of today, they will still come for our other territory in half a year,” Zelenskyi said.
In addition, the President emphasized that Russia is not as powerful as it seems.
“This legend of great statehood must be forgotten. We prove it on the battlefield,” the President added.

Earlier, Zelenskyi stated that negotiations with Russia are out of the question at the moment.
Zelensky assured that negotiations with Russia are possible only if Russian troops leave the illegally occupied territory of Ukraine.
