The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed its support for Moldova after the statement of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, about the protection of its Russian-speaking population.

“lavrov says that Moscow will make every effort to protect the Russian-speaking population in Moldova. We have seen it. This was exactly the false pretext that Russia used to justify its invasion of Ukraine. We express our full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova,” – wrote Nikolenko.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about the protection of Russian speakers in Moldova.
“We will do everything to ensure that the interests of the Russian-speaking population in Moldova are not harmed,” he said the day before during one of his speeches.
