The head of the Ukrainian Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) Ivan Rudy refused to comment to journalists regarding the issuance of a license to the bookmaker 1xBet and their alleged Russian roots.
Details
Ivan Rudy called the entire company against the bookmaker 1xBet custom, and when asked whether 1xBet is really a pro-Russian company with roots in the Russian Federation, Rudy refused to answer and hung up.
Context
Ivan Rudy is the head of KRAIL, while Olena Vodolazhko is currently performing his duties . It was she who signed and in the future was supposed to control the activities of the betting company TBK LLC (brand 1xBet – ed.), which was issued 2 licenses on March 30, in the midst of a full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine. At that time, the Commission stated that according to the documents, the company was in no way connected with the aggressor country.
As it turned out later, LLC “TBK” is really nominally owned by Ukrainian citizens. At the same time, the 1xBet brand itself, according to InformNapalm journalists, is controlled by Russian citizens Roman Semiokhin, Sergey Karshkov and Dmytro Kazorin.
Despite this, KRAIL still reports that they do not see any Russian traces in the company and do not cancel the license of bookmakers, despite the statement and instructions of the President of Ukraine to introduce sanctions against all business related to Russia.
