The Ministry of Health and the European Commission evacuated 38 injured Ukrainians to France, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany for treatment .

“The evacuation groups included persons with mine-explosive injuries and cancer patients from Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa and those near-front territories where active hostilities are currently ongoing. All these patients have been sent abroad for specialized treatment and further rehabilitation,” the message reads.

According to the Ministry of Health, international partners in cooperation with the emergency medical service transport patients from the hospital in the front-line area through the Lviv medical hub to the airport in Poland. Ukrainian patients are then transported by special air transport or air hospitals to European countries for specialized treatment.
Thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Health with international partners, 1,600 injured Ukrainians have been evacuated to European clinics for treatment since the first days of the full-scale war.
The Ministry of Health added that seriously ill Ukrainians or those who were injured as a result of the war can submit a preliminary application for participation in the Medical Evacuation Program on their own, by filling out the appropriate application.
