Kiev. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – January 2, 2021 – Business
Konstantin Grigorishin takes 16th place in the TOP-100 richest Ukrainians from NV and Dragon Capital. In 2020, his fortune fell by 14% to $ 399 million. The trend continues for the second year in a row.
Konstantin Grigorishin has long been called a Russian-Ukrainian oligarch. It is very likely that in the near future he will cease to be both an oligarch and a businessman, strongly tied to any one country. The status of a cosmopolitan is closer to him, including three passports and plans for global expansion, along with a new hobby.
Grigorishin was born in Zaporozhye, but received his education at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. After graduating from graduate school there, he became a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences. According to some reports, he has achievements in sports. Namely, in sailing, with which he has not only personal, but also business relations. For example, his son Ivan is professionally engaged in this sport, and the multimillionaire himself wants to turn swimming into a business. Although until recently, his attention was focused on another element: electrical energy.
The Energy Standard business group, owned by Grigorishin, was formed from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. Konstantin Grigorishin accumulated his initial capital by trading first with computers in Russia and Ukraine, then with metal products. In parallel, he built schemes for the export of nuclear waste from Ukrainian nuclear power plants to the Russian Federation. This was necessary in order to provide Ukrainian ferroalloy enterprises with cheap electricity. At the same time, their shares were bought up. It is believed that by the beginning of the 2000s, Grigorishin, together with non-public partners (according to some sources, they were Zaporozhye businessmen Igor Boyko, Andrey Nemzer and Leonid Pivovarov) owned large assets in three sectors of the economy.
