About 10,000 Hasidim will come to Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. As Ihor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy OVA .

“We expect that ten thousand Hasidim will come. This is our estimated price for this year’s issue. However, preventive measures are currently being implemented by our National Police Department and other relevant services. First of all, it is the SBU and the health services, in order to prepare and ensure the safety of the places where they will be in a preventive manner,” said Taburets.

The head of the OVA added that conferences were held with Jewish organizations, at which warnings were sounded about the danger of rocket attacks. According to Taburets, the regional government of Cherkassy tried to convince organizations and foundations not to go to the Rosh Hashanah celebration, but it did not yield results.
Taburets added that everyone who will be in Uman must follow safety rules. In particular, we are talking about requirements for moving around the city, mass gathering in one place, as well as restricting the site with enhanced security regimes, roadblocks.
“Law enforcement services will conduct briefings. We will try to produce special leaflets with a short instruction on actions. And we also warned the organizers of this process. This is a well-known foundation and well-known organizations that contribute to the arrival of guests. That is, they should be ready for it. How much they will hear or not is another question. We will conduct instructional moments in a mandatory manner,” explained Taburets.

From September 19 to 30, security measures will be increased in Uman, Cherkasy region during the celebration of Rosh Hashanah .
