The official representative of the British government said that the country’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss accepted Volodymyr Zelensky’s invitation to visit Ukraine.

“In her first telephone conversation with a foreign leader after assuming the post of Prime Minister (Ms. Truss – ed.), she confirmed her full support for the Ukrainian leader and stated that Ukraine can count on long-term help from Great Britain,” said the press secretary of Downing Street .
According to her, the leaders of the two countries “discussed the need to strengthen international security and measures necessary to cut off the flow of funds that finance Putin’s military machine.”
The Prime Minister said she looks forward to working with the President in the coming weeks and months and is happy to accept an invitation to visit President Zelensky in Ukraine soon.
