The American magazine Time released a commemorative cover dedicated to the late Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II.
Details
The photograph was taken by the British photographer Cecil Beaton in the summer of 1968. Elizabeth II was 42 at the time.
Elizabeth II first graced Time in 1929 as Princess Lilibeth. Since then, she has appeared on the cover of this magazine at least 10 times, including in January 1953 as Time’s Person of the Year.
The Queen was also featured on the cover of the June 4, 2012 Diamond Jubilee issue of Time Europe.
