An opportunity to use the name of the bankrupt national Slovenian airline Adria Airways with a 60-year history was put up for an auction with a starting price of 10 thousand euros.

This is the third attempt to sell the brand of the air carrier that stopped operating in September 2019. Initially, they counted on 100 thousand euros, after no one was found, the price was reduced by half – to 50 thousand euros, but the second attempt was unsuccessful.
Earlier, the bankruptcy administrator sold the operator’s certificate to Adria Airways for 45 thousand euros. This document, before the expiration of the validity period, allows the new owner to start the operation of the new airline under an accelerated procedure.
