The UN has confirmed 14,059 civilian casualties as a result of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights in Ukraine Matilda Bogner .

“As a result of the hostilities, 5,767 civilians were killed and 8,292 were injured. We have repeatedly noted that the actual numbers are probably much higher,” Bogner said.
“Since February 24, our Mission has confirmed that at least 416 people have been victims of arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance in territories occupied by the Russian Federation or in territories then controlled by Russian armed forces and associated armed groups. Of these, 16 have been found dead , 166 have been released,” she added.
