Limiting Russia’s access to high technologies is one of the important aspects of the sanctions against Russia for its aggression in Ukraine, Nuland said. At the same time, she added that the sanctions in the field of high technologies will not work immediately, but in a certain perspective, but some of their results are already felt.

“Russians around the world are scrambling to find the things they need. And we’ve heard stories of Putin and his military removing chips and parts from air conditioners and washing machines to build into their weapons systems. We will continue to work hard on sanctions that could deliver results that are easy to track with reliable tracking tools,” she said.
Nuland also said that the United States is working in this sense with those states that have not yet decided to join the sanctions regime against the Russian Federation in order to strengthen it.
