The government has extended the term of PSO on the natural gas market until the end of April 2023. This was announced by the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal .

“The government has extended the term of PSO on the natural gas market until April 30, 2023. That is, the price of blue fuel for heat producers will remain unchanged for this period, which gives the local authorities the opportunity not to raise the tariffs for heat and water for the population as well,” he noted. The head of the government emphasized that Ukraine, together with Europe, is preparing for a difficult heating season and takes into account all possible scenarios that Russia can insidiously implement. “So the government’s decision will ensure reliable and uninterrupted supply of natural gas and the reliability of functioning of the gas market in Ukraine,” he believes.

The Verkhovna Rada established a moratorium on raising tariffs for gas and heat during the war. The representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada noted that the Council adopted a whole package of laws to freeze tariffs.
