The rapid successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region at the beginning of September have significant consequences for the overall planning of the operations of the Russian armed forces. This is stated in the latest intelligence report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain .
Details
According to the information of British intelligence officers, against the background of Ukraine’s offensive, Russia probably gave the order to withdraw its troops from the entire occupied Kharkiv region west of the Oskil River.
Meanwhile, near Kherson, Russia is probably trying to transfer sufficient reserves across the Dnipro River to the front line. However, the improvised pontoon bridge, which the Russian military began to build more than two weeks ago, remains unfinished. It is reported that Ukrainian long-range artillery is now probably hitting the Dnipro crossings so often that the occupiers cannot repair the damaged bridges.
