In a night address, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that during the visit of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenskyi at the Fast Recovery Plan event, it was possible to receive 100 million euros from the EU for the restoration of 74 schools in Ukraine.

At the special invitation of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Olena Zelenska attended the meeting of the annual speech of the President of the European Commission. This is the first time that an official from Ukraine was present at such an event.

“We have an important result of this visit – one hundred million euros for the reconstruction of 74 schools in Ukraine within the framework of the Fast Recovery Plan. We will do everything to make a large-scale social initiative successful – the cancellation of roaming fees for our people in the EU and for Europeans in Ukraine. This will be significant a signal of our rapprochement. And I thank Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen, I thank all our friends in the European Union for their constant support,” the President said.
