In the case of taking over the corporate rights and property of “Ukrbud”, 13 persons were notified of suspicions .

Today, the State Bureau of Investigation released information that employees of the State Bureau of Investigation uncovered a group of individuals who took over the corporate rights and property of a well-known construction company for a total amount of over 85 million hryvnias. The group included the general director of this construction company and notaries.
“It was established that members of the group forged powers of attorney for illegal registration actions in state registers during 2019-2021. Their actions were facilitated by law enforcement officers,” the SBI reported.
The Bureau stated that on September 14, 2022, thirteen persons were notified of the suspicion of illegal seizure of the company’s property, using forged documents, committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy, as well as by an official using his official position, which caused great damage (Part 3 of Article 206-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In cooperation with the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, 19 simultaneous searches were conducted at the place of work and residence of the persons involved in the territory of Kyiv and the region. In the course of investigative actions, the following were seized:
- electronic media and mobile phones;
- seals and documents confirming illegal activity.
Currently, the issue of choosing preventive measures is being resolved. Suspects may face up to 10 years in prison.
Procedural management is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
