The doctor believes that currently the greatest danger for Ukrainians is COVID-19, as well as viral intestinal infections in the frontline regions, where there are problems with the supply of high-quality drinking water.
“One case of the disease has been recorded in Ukraine so far, it is of a mild course, so there is no need to panic. In case the situation becomes complicated, the Ministry of Health and a group of experts on immunoprophylaxis will consider the issue of vaccination. Modern methods of research and indication of the causative agent are extremely sensitive. This gives us the opportunity to study it and implement timely measures to curb the spread of the infection,” the epidemiologist said.
