Water research is being conducted in Kryvyi Rih in order to determine whether the rise in the water level in the Ingulets River and the subsequent flooding of part of the city affected the quality of drinking water. This was announced by the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko .

“117 drinking water studies have already been conducted to understand whether the increase in water flow has affected the quality of drinking water and prevented the occurrence of enteric infections,” he said.

Lyashko also added that the residents of Kryvyi Rih are given drugs for disinfecting water in local wells. According to him, the Ministry of Health is currently practicing the launch of epidural teams in order to “carry out disinfection measures in places of potential flooding and prevent the spread of diseases in this area.”
