At the end of December, a training and practical center for renewable energy was opened on the basis of the Kyiv Vocational College with enhanced military and physical training. There, students will be taught to repair solar panels, install and maintain solar power plant equipment.
The newly created center was filled with modern equipment: computers, heat pumps, photo panels. There is also software for designing and calculating the parameters of renewable energy systems. In order for students to be able to monitor the operation of the equipment and understand how the systems work, the center has installed several installations. Among them – models with elements of connection of copper pipes, various types of roofs of houses, systems of heat pumps, etc.
Currently, the college prepares students in the following areas: energy saving technologies, telecommunications, information technology, car service, military training, hotel and tourism service, office work and mechanical engineering. In addition, the teachers of the institution have created educational professional programs for adult training, including “Photovoltaic installations”, “Helio-collectors”, “Heat pumps (PCC, PCV, PCU)”.
The opening of the center took place thanks to the cooperation of the college, managers of Kyiv, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and international partners.
