In the Khmelnytsky maternity hospital, mother of many children Svetlana Kukharchuk gave birth to her eighteenth child. The boy was named Paul. The newborn already has nine brothers and eight sisters.
This is the tenth boy in our family. He was born with a weight of 4 kilograms 150 grams. The family also has eight girls. Tomorrow must be the year of the youngest. Thus, we had two children this year – January 1 and December 29, – said the mother.
According to the head of the department of extragenital pathology of pregnant women of the Khmelnytsky regional perinatal center Lyudmila Melnik, such a birth is the first time in the Khmelnytsky region.
- There were no eighteenth births (in the maternity hospital before that – ed.), There were 16th births before that. If you count, she got married at 18, now 42, 18 children, she gave birth almost every year, – said Melnik.
