The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the head of UEFA, Alexander Ceferin, and said that he is counting on UEFA’s help in the release of Ukrainian athletes from Russian captivity.

“I had a telephone conversation with UEFA President Alexander Ceferin. He thanked for solidarity with Ukraine, for the principled position and support for the restart of the Ukrainian Premier League. We are also counting on UEFA’s help in the release of captured Ukrainian athletes,” the Ukrainian president said.
