12% of respondents are critical of those who continue to live in the occupied territories after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. They consider them collaborators or indifferent to Ukraine. This is evidenced by the survey data conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology .

The vast majority of Ukrainians (72%) consider them victims of circumstances. According to the respondents, those who remained in the occupation want the return of Ukraine’s control over the occupied territories. 16% of respondents find it difficult to answer.
Depending on the region, 63-81% consider residents of the territories occupied after February 24 to be victims of circumstances, and no more than 7-17% consider them collaborators or indifferent to Ukraine.
Additionally
2,000 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except Crimea) were interviewed by the method of telephone interviews using a computer based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers. The survey was conducted on September 7-13 with adult (age 18 and older) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, lived on the territory of Ukraine (within the boundaries controlled by the authorities of Ukraine until February 24, 2022).
Addition
The majority of Ukrainians who went abroad due to the invasion of Russia plan to return to Ukraine, only 7% have no such plans at all.
