The head of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola, said on her Twitter that “no “referendums” will change Europe’s position on Ukraine.”

“It is clear: no fictitious referendums will change Europe’s position regarding Ukraine and its territorial integrity. Nor will it change the fact that it was Russia that invaded sovereign Ukraine,” Metsola wrote.
She emphasized that Europe will support and be with Ukraine.
