Oleksiy Zhuravko, a former People’s Deputy of the Republic of Belarus from the Party of Regions, who joined the occupiers, died in Kherson. Russian mass media and representatives of the occupiers reported Zhuravko’s death .
The so-called “deputy head of the military-civilian administration (MCA) of the Kherson region” Kyrylo Stremousov said that Zhurakov died allegedly from an attack on the hotel. The strike was allegedly inflicted by a rocket launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from HIMARS. At least one other person probably died along with Zhuravko.
On September 23, Zhuravko, still alive, published a video about how he voted in the pseudo-referendum.
Zhuravko has been a member of the “Party of Regions” faction since 2006, and since 2015 he fled to Russia, where he lived until recently.
