Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that the country is working to establish a dialogue between the presidents of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and Russia, Vladimir Putin, and that “the whole world is paying for the consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine.”

Çavuşoğlu noted that Turkey is currently negotiating with both the West and the East. According to him, among some Western countries there are those who advocate the continuation of the war in Ukraine. “These players believe that the continuation of the war will weaken Russia. However, the fact is that the main damage has been done to Ukraine,” said the Turkish Foreign Minister.
He emphasized that it is important to end the war “on fair terms”, adding that the territories currently under Russian occupation are Ukrainian.
