Tehran does not support any of the sides in the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine and considers it wrong for either side to send weapons to both Ukraine and Russia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdullahian, in an interview with Al-Monitor .

“We have an agreement on military cooperation with Russia. But we do not support any of the parties in the “Ukrainian war”, which will lead to the continuation of the war. We are categorically against any wars, whether in Ukraine, in Yemen, or in Palestine. And we also participated in efforts to achieve peace and a ceasefire in Ukraine.
We believe it is wrong for any party to send weapons to Ukraine or Russia. And we will continue to help political dialogue and resolve this crisis through political negotiations,” Amir-Abdullahian said when asked if Iran was selling drones to Russia for use in Ukraine.
Addition
Russia has attacked Ukraine in recent days with kamikaze drones, which the Ukrainian military says were Iranian Shahed-136 drones . On September 23, the Mohajer-6 multi-purpose strike drone of Iranian production was shot down for the first time.
Due to Iran’s supply of weapons to Russia for waging war, the Ukrainian side decided to revoke the accreditation of Iran’s ambassador to Ukraine and to significantly reduce the number of diplomatic staff at the embassy in Kyiv.
