The Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 will be held in Glasgow or Liverpool in Great Britain, the BBC reports .

“Either Glasgow or Liverpool will host next year’s Eurovision Song Contest after the shortlist of participating cities was reduced from seven to two,” the newspaper wrote.
The announcement means that Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield have lost the chance to host the competition next May.
The BBC said the two cities with riverside arenas had the “strongest overall bid”.
The final decision will be made “within several weeks”, the broadcaster said.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in Great Britain on behalf of Ukraine.
In August, it was announced that 7 cities were included in the short list of candidates for the Eurovision Song Contest. After a detailed assessment of compliance with the requirements of the competition, the list of seven cities was reduced to two.
