The US Senate on Tuesday voted overwhelmingly to begin debating a budget funding bill that provides more than $12 billion. aid to Ukraine .

The document, as indicated, will allow the US government to work until December 16 and will include $12.4 billion in aid to Ukraine in the fight against Russia.
72 votes “for” and 23 “against” were cast for its adoption. The funding bill needed 60 votes to proceed to debate.
“The deadline to pass this measure and prevent a government shutdown is Friday midnight,” the publication writes.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday that the House would take up the bill by Thursday.

The project of the short-term budget resolution presented in the US Congress provides for assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 12.35 billion dollars. Ukraine hopes that it will be approved by both houses of Congress and signed by the US President already this week.
