NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reacted to Russia’s nuclear blackmail during a briefing and noted that Allies are closely monitoring changes in the positioning of Russia’s nuclear potential .
The Secretary General also stressed that the consequences of the use of nuclear weapons would be very serious.

“We are closely monitoring everything that Russia is doing – we do not see changes in nuclear positioning. We are closely monitoring, exchanging information. And we have clearly conveyed to Russia that the consequences will be very serious if Russia uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said.
At the same time, according to the Head of the Alliance, the most significant escalation of the conflict since the start of a full-scale war is currently taking place.
“We see the strongest escalation since the beginning of the conflict – mobilization in Russia in combination with reckless nuclear rhetoric and illegal annexation of parts of Ukraine. putin is trying to convince us not to support Ukraine, but he will not succeed. And the message from NATO is that we will continue to support Ukraine,” the Secretary General assured.
He also added that Putin must understand that it is impossible to win a nuclear war.

On September 30, Vladimir Putin said that the United States had set a precedent by using nuclear weapons against Japan.
Earlier, the Russian dictator said that Russia would defend itself by all available means, including nuclear weapons. According to him, Russia will defend its territories, which will be considered the occupied territories of Ukraine, where pseudo-referendums were held.
