Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko, on the evening of October 1, posted a video of servicemen setting up a Ukrainian flag on the administrative building in Lyman, Donetsk region, in his Telegram.
In the video, the Ukrainian military can be seen dropping Russian and “Dnriv” flags from the roof of the administrative building and setting up Ukrainian.

On October 1, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrounded the Russian group in the Lyman area, five settlements were liberated nearby.
Spokesman of the Eastern Grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty stressed that Lyman is important because it is another step towards the liberation of Donbas.
