In Indonesia, a crush at the end of a football match killed at least 174 people and injured another 180. This is reported by Reuters .

The crush occurred on October 2 in the afternoon (local time) at the Malanga City Stadium at the end of the match between Arema and Persebaya Surabaya. Thousands of outraged Arema fans ran onto the field after their team lost 3-2.
Trying to contain the fans, the police used tear gas, but this only provoked a crush. Several team players who were on the field were affected.
The head of one of the hospitals where the victims were brought said that the hospitalized had traumatic brain injuries, and among the dead there was a 5-year-old child.
A local health official said many people died from chaos, crush and suffocation.
The country’s chief security minister, Mahfoud, MD, said the stadium was overcrowded. According to him, 42 thousand tickets were sold for the match, although the stadium can accommodate only 38 thousand people.
