“It is too early to celebrate victory, but I am convinced that by the end of the year Ukrainians will push the Russians to the turn on February 23 on the eve of the war, and by the end of next summer they will seize Crimea,” said General Ben Hodges, former commander of the US Army in Europe, to the Polish news channel TVN24 BiS.
“Ukraine has achieved such dynamics, which is already irreversible. We know from history that war is a test of will and logistics. It is clear that Ukrainian soldiers have more motivation than Russians,” Hodges said, referring to Ukrainian successes.
“Putin is doing everything to destroy the unity of the West, but this will not happen,” he said.
“The Kremlin wants to prolong the conflict and expects that we are the United States, Great Britain, Poland, Germany will lose interest and will no longer support Ukraine. But that’s not going to happen,” the general added.
